Yesterday I had the opportunity to spend the day working on a Mya video. We shot with a Red One camera and a handful of different lenses. It was unreal to be able to hold a RED cam, which for those who dont know get upwards of $150,000 very quickly. I was working with 8112 productions and it was a great time, they are super talented and amazing guys all around.
To keep this semi car related I got to drive around in the directors 2010 M3 coupe, 100% fully loaded, carbon fiber roof and all. Amazing car.

Yeah, I had Mya sign my boobies. Come over here and check it out.
Not that 150k isn't a lot of money, because it is, for what that camera is and what its capable of it is a game changer. They filmed a commercial with one at my school, but it was the Tebow Superbowl commercial.
Talk about a waste...
Super jealous you got to see one though!

Yeah dude they are SUPER insane. The stuff that comes out of that camera is unbelievable. The dude who owns it had the biggest pelican case ive ever seen full of lenses. 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 100mm plus some. He has the Red Epic ordered and is just waiting for it. 120 frames per second. Fucking insane.

Nice, yeah I know like a half dozen people that are "getting a Red Camera" but not one person that has the $100k plus to buy one, or the talent to need one. Well, I take that back, the guy who I did this shoot with is on the waiting list for the Epic, and he has the money and is unbelievably talented. I am not going to drop any names but you have without a doubt seen his work on the cover of Billboard magazine/multiple album covers or on a TV commercial.
Guys like him can afford it too by renting it out to companies to use, and at the same time, have said company hire him to use it.
I wish I knew how to use it lol.
