A friend of mine is organizing this... $5 for the show and the money goes to Red Cross for relief in Japan

***** PLEASE INVITE YOUR FRIENDS WHO ARE CAR ENTHUSIASTS AND HELP ME SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THIS TO EVERYONE WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED- LETS WORK TOGETHER AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR THE INDIVIDUALS SUFFERING IN JAPAN.
I have not gotten approval yet from GMU, but if it is not approved there then I will just move the meet else where.
-As of right now three other places are in the works, because personally I am getting tired of waiting ...on Mason and I am tired of dealing with them so these are the other two places that are being explored:
1) Pohick Bay Regional Park
2) Occoquan Regional Park
3) Sterling chic-fil a
Details:
I've been talking with events management/parking services at GMU for the last couple weeks. I am planning to put on a decent sized meet/show at Mason during May. Nothing is finalized yet because Mason likes to take a ridiculously long time to do ANYTHING.
Date: May 7th, 2011
Where: GMU Lot K parking lot - or one of the locations mentioned above
Admission will be FREE for everyone, but since ALL proceeds are going to the Red Cross to help the individuals affected by the earth quake in Japan, donations are encouraged and greatly appreciated.
Raffle tickets will be sold to raffle off some goodies in order to try to raise more money.
**If you would like to make a donation to go to the Red Cross and you are unable to attend the event, please let me know and we can arrange something over PayPal**
I am working on getting some local businesses/dealerships involved to we will be able to give away some free goodies to give away to everyone as well as some raffle prizes
So far this is who I have been working with:
- Subaru
- Monster energy
- Sdobbins photography ;; in the process of getting tons of calendars donated!
- Chipotle
- Buffalo Wing University
- NGP Racing
The food situation is still being worked out- it depends on if the show ends up being at GMU or at one of the regional parks.
Status: I haven't heard from Mason in the last two weeks, I started scoping out other areas today and I am putting requests in for those tonight. i will keep everyone updated on where the event is going to be held as soon as I know something.
