    The Pet Thread

Lets see some pics of your best friends: dogs, cats, snakes, exotic pets, etc etc. Please feel free to share stories, if your pet was from a Shelter, bought from a Breeder, or Private owner.
Here is Pinkie, our 4 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier (looks like a pit bull, but smaller), she is 35lbs, got her from the SPCA after browsing Petfinder.com (if you are look for a pet def check out petfinder). She was in the shelter for over a year, she taken from her owner for neglect, left out side 24/7 on a piece of property. She was in Foster for a few months and then adopted to family with 2 kids but didnt work out, and now she is a big part of our family.

I apologize in advance, cause this is gonna be a little lengthy...

Versace: Almost 4yr old Chihuahua.. He's a total mama's boy. I bought him about 6 months after my apartment complex poisoned my first Chihuahua... There is just something about these dogs that I'm drawn to, and I needed one in my life again... I got Versace from a breeder in the ghetto of Orlando, and my mother (who I was told never to associate myself with again) bought his brother. He's quite the little hell raiser, but I can never get mad at him because he's just too damn cute.

Louie: Almost 3yr old Chihuahua.. No relation to Versace, although they look so similar. I bought Louie as a companion for Versace, because he was mopey and seemed depressed... He's a lover, and always wants to cuddle even though he snores like a wilderbeast. Now that he's matured, he and Versace are absolutely inseparable.

Bunny Mayhem: Formerly known as Roger (original, right?) I rescued him from a neglectful owner... He was about a year old, and had never been out of his cage, which had never been cleaned. He was terrified of people, hated us with a passion, but we took good care of him anyway... He passed in November, from heart failure which was more than likely due to his previous malnurishment..

Rogue's Romance: 21yr old Registered Thoroughbred. She's no longer mine, however she'll always be my horse... If that makes sense? I trained this girl for 12 years, won my first ever blue ribbons on her... I always called her my partner in crime. Unfortunately after I was hospitalized (seizures) and put on disability for 2 months, I couldn't afford to keep her no matter how hard I tried... She was sold to an amazing home, teaching a younger girl to rebuild her confidence in horses.

We've been thinking of setting one up for a bit now...
But with sea anemones, and maybe a few salt water fish.

those can be rather pricey and aggrevating at first. i had a buddy who had a 100 gallon tank of salt water fish. he was passionate about it though. a few fish that could around $1-$2k each. Plus the tank alone cost him about $5k. ... Crazy stuff.

Not enough love for feline's in this thread yet! I've had several cats and although I'm not adverse to dogs, I find I enjoy a cat's company a lot more.

My most recent aquisition is Randy Marsh (he was originally named John Joseph after the Cro-Mags vocalist but my house mates veto'd it) who we got as a newborn kitten just before christmas. He's the best.
