ok so earlier tonite i was kickin it at my meet, and i catch some fool selling CANIBEAT replica stickers....AT MY OWN MEET! WTF!!!!!

i confront the guy selling them and he tells me he wont sell any anymore. a few minutes later he leaves and i exchange the fake ones for legit ones with the one guy that bought one. about 5 minutes later, i see this guy roll back into the lot and notice a few more ppl walking away with more fake cib stickers! i confront the guy and he makes all this bs up. i just made sure i dont see any of that fake stuff again....

I hate to say it, but I'm starting to see more and more of this everyday...
Not with Canibeat stickers, but others like Fatlace and whatnot.
Pretty sad that some people can't dig the quarters out of their couch and actually support their favorite sites, and rely on cheap knock offs.

I have been told that someone is making fake NELOC stickers and passing them out or selling them too; we even provide them at no cost, you just have to attend a certain number of legit meets/events.

Yea that sucks, but at the same time you can sit back proud to have made something worthy of being copied? I know it would be frustrating to have someone pull some shit like that tho.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. But its still lame, especially if they are trying to make a buck. Does this mean some new stickers that can't be duplicated?

So i had a idea for a new shirt since Fakes are being made.A shirt that says "often imitated, never duplicated" or "I bought this shirt from Canibeat.com"

I use itunes and dont buy whole cd's most the time. Plus I get sick of songs fast so it would be a waste for me to download alot of songs.

    Exactly.

And like the question asked about pirating music...
I do not download music for one simple reason.
The bands (much like our favorite sites) need the support.
Without consumers to legitimately purchase their albums, merch, and concert tickets, they can not continue to do what we support them for.
Which is why when a band I like releases a CD (and yes, I keep track of these things), I buy it as opposed to ripping it off of whatever programs are out there.

With that said, those who have ripped off stickers just to make or save a buck should really take a second look at what they're up to.

Most of the time I just want 1-2 songs off an album, and paying 99 cents a song really is not a big deal. Ide rather pay $1.00 to some evil corporation over the convenience of downloading straight to my phone while driving down the road.
