When he stubs his toe, he screams "Wheel Gap", because it's a dirty word... -I dont always drive, but When I do, I Prefer to drive Low
Cheers guys and girls! Right its update time.
Front and rear subframes have been dropped.
Rear arches are not in the best of shapes though.
Those 2 red bits in the middle of the rust are in fact holes. I may end up replacing the arches and a new boot floor at the same time.
Then more of the sound proofing was hammered off. This is almost finished now with only a small bit on the passenger side left to do. Was worth doing this though as their were a few surprises under neither.
On the seat on the passenger side.
and on the seat on the drivers side.
These can both me patched with ease though I'm hoping.
I also stripped out the rear half of the wiring loom, the pedal box, door handle latch things and pretty much any other part that would come off. So I now have a completely bare shell. Which can only mean I'm half way though! As things can only now go back on the car!
Any with my very light bare shell. I lifted it off the pallet. ( I say I but my dad brother and girl friend did assist haha) and placed it on my drive so I could move the pallet on the gravel.
So the cars now sat where she will be until she's back on the road. Apart from her trip to the painters.
Today I also found someone to shot blast the subframes, which will be done in the new year. So next step is to get the few bits of welding done and get her painted and sort out what I'm doing with the new engine. I think I need to start a shopping list of bits I need to buy next.
Thats all folks!
These came though the post.
A pair of mk2 gold cross hairs! With some slight modifications I'm hoping I'll be able to get them to fit in a mini headlight bowl. Should give it a slightly unique look!
Not updated this is a while! Still cracking on with it. I'v just had the doors reskined and have stated to get the engine sorted.
Just for good measure. Heres the clubby. Now running 10x7 banded steels.
Also bought this one a few weeks back. My oldest one yet. 50 years old!
Needs a bit of work that one lol.
Anyway thanks for reading!
