"Y SO MAD" RHD BB6 Build Thread 5yrs Running!

well im sure some of you guys know what had happened couple weeks ago. Yes, some lady decided it was a nice day to T-bone me and total my car. the damage in the pictures did no justice to what it really damaged. my quarter was destroyed, door jams crumpled, door smashed. and rear suspension tweaked. Lucky to say believe it or not. my aftermarket C-Piller Bar had saved the top part of my quarter panel as it stop crumpling right where the bar was. saved my quarter glass and rear window from shattering. also my factory rear seat brace saved the inside from crumpling in. Instead of parting out the lude and moving on, I had decided to fix it in my garage, those that know me can tell you how Iam with my car, dont trust anyone with it so im fixing everything in my garage, yes i do paint work. and get her back on the road bigger and better. This is where my Rebuild comes into play. I have had this car for over 5yrs now and it seems like I keep on rebuilding it every year. Yes this is the same prelude that was silver 3 yrs ago, Midori Green 2yrs ago and last year it was a custom color mix based of jade green.

This build might be a little slow or somewhat fast depending on how you look at it.lol
keep in mind that I am a full time student in college so I cant work on it everyday.

new 1/4 panel is ordered, car is stripped of parts and my new door and right rear suspension is also on its way
while iam waiting for my parts i have started prepping my car and some body panels for the new paint (color change again) lol
i decided the color Gigrio Telesto Pearl the Lambo Gray off the LP640, and 540s

Sold my Work VS-KF's and Ordered my new rims

Got started on stripping the paint off the car to start on the body work for new paint

Painted my Rear valances and side skirts

Painted my OEM Front lip for my Daily Driving bumper

My replacement door, and rear suspension has came in!

My Replacement quarter panel came in! Got to work on the same day took the 1/4 glass out with a few friends. took us a bit of time, it was our first time taking a glass out and did not want to break it. but it came out all in one peice! and I drilled out all the spot welds and free up the 1/4 skin for the transplant

Finished stripping the paint off and started on some body work

Thank god for having friends that work at the R&D plant for honda
Friend said they had a professional window removal kit so he let me borrow that. should make my life easier getting the other 1/4 glass out along with the rear windshield. he also got me Wire loom so i can re-do my engine harness and got me more poppet clips.

i was alittle nervous using the window removal kit because i had never used it before and since its a power tool. i felt like one wrong move i would shatter the glass. but after 10mins later i had that bitch out in one piece.
cant believe the window companies ive called wanted 90-150 dollars to get these 1/4 glass's pulled.
saved my ass around 200bucks for these two,haha

got up this morning was super nervous to pull the rear windshield out myself since they are super expensive( built in antena) to replace if i break it.
30 minutes later i had that bitch out in one piece =D
big thanks to my buddy who let me borrow the window removal kit

got the quarter panel skin off the car
then got the new one mocked up

got everything trimmed to fit and got everything mocked up for final
got everything on and everything is lining up perfect

and for shits and giggles my buddy and i put up one of my aero wheels for a circle track car,lol

been awhile since i last updated, been super busy with school
couple updates i forgot to put up, got the rear bumper painted, new quarter panel metal bonded, welded, and new rear suspension components installed
should be able to Primer the car this weekend

sooo today was a long day... spent all day finishing up on the body work.
finally got the car primered at 11pm
